E-Learning Course
A roll of the eyes from a coworker is just the beginning. Some of us will ignore it, while others might challenge a coworker who does it. Whatever our approach towards disagreement, all too often the end result is arguing, avoidance of coworkers, morale issues, lower productivity,
turnover. . . the list goes on and on. All this over generational differences? Absolutely. Wouldn't it be great if we could all just get along? We can if we understand each other better. We can if we recognize that each generation responds to conflict differently. This e-Learning course provides an overview of who the five generations in the workplace are and provides concrete steps on ways to build communication and reduce conflict.

"Whippersnappers in the Workplace"
Colleagues Dr. Linda Gravett and Robin Throckmorton were quoted for a story by Sarah Boesveld appearing in the January 12, 2009, edition of the online magazine Globe and Mail(gloveandmail.com): "Whippersnappers in the Workplace"
When the new president takes office, he'll face a huge generation gap at work. And he isn't alone. As the work force grows increasingly diverse, workers - old and young - better prepare to ditch the stereotypes. Older people don't Twitter, they don't like a good challenge and they definitely don't warm to change. If president-elect Barack Obama - set to become one of the youngest presidents in U.S. history - makes any of these assumptions when he takes office next week, he'll have sorely underestimated the graying Congress, experts say."

Gravett and Associates Receives 2009 Best of Cincinnati Award for the second year in a row. U.S. Local Business Association’s Award Plaque Honors the Achievement.
WASHINGTON D.C., March 20, 2009 -- For the second consecutive year, Gravett & Associates has been selected for the 2009 Best of Cincinnati Award in the Business Management Consultants category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA).
The USLBA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Nationwide, only 1 in 70 (1.4%) 2008 Award recipients qualified as 2009 Award Winners. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2009 USLBA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USLBA and data provided by third parties.
